Knoxville Catholic shortstop Connor York announced his commitment to Mississippi State baseball on social media on Sept. 22. York is a member of the Class of 2028.
In an Instagram post, York thanked God, his parents and his coaches, as well as Mississippi State head coach Brian O'Connor and the rest of the staff for the opportunity, calling it a dream come true.
The 6-foot, 185-pound infielder chose the Bulldogs over offers from Tennessee, Kentucky and ETSU. As a sophomore in 2026, York hit .306 with 34 hits in 111 at-bats, driving in 21 runs with seven doubles and a triple.
He also scored 23 runs and stole nine bases, second on the Irish behind DJ Lowery, a Louisville commit. Knoxville Catholic reached the Division II-AA state tournament, losing its opening series to Montgomery Bell two games to one.
