Chelsea were sold in May 2022, after former owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned, with Todd Boehly taking charge of the club's day-to-day operations under the new Clearlake-led ownership alongside Mark Walter.
Results on the field have been mixed since the takeover. After winning the Premier League in 2015 and 2017 and the Champions League in 2021, Chelsea have finished 12th, sixth, fourth and 10th in the league across four seasons.
The club qualified for European competition in two of those four campaigns, a return below expectations for a club of Chelsea's resources.
Off the pitch, Chelsea have moved forward with plans for a new and larger stadium, a project that had also been discussed before the ownership change.
