Conference USA sets 2027 league slates for Jax State baseball and softball

Jacksonville State learned its Conference USA opponents and dates for the 2027 baseball and softball seasons as both programs chase repeat titles.
Conference USA announced league schedules Wednesday for Jacksonville State baseball and softball. Both Gamecock squads claimed conference championships last season and reached the NCAA Tournament.
The baseball team posted a school-record 48 wins and advanced to the final of the Hattiesburg Regional before losing to Little Rock. Coach Steve Bieser departed after the season, and the program hired Travis Creel away from Southern Miss. Softball went 24-3 in league play and 45-16 overall, finishing 0-2 at the Tallahassee Regional as the No. 3 seed with losses to UCF and Florida State.
In baseball, Jax State hosts Liberty (March 26-28), Sam Houston (April 9-11), Missouri State (April 23-25) and Delaware (May 14-16), and travels to New Mexico State (April 2-4), Middle Tennessee (April 16-18), Kennesaw State (April 30-May 2), Western Kentucky (May 7-9) and FIU (May 20-22).
Softball plays at home against Missouri State (March 12-14), Liberty (March 25-27), FIU (April 9-11), Sam Houston (April 23-25), Middle Tennessee (April 30-May 2) and Kennesaw State (May 6-8), with road series at Delaware (March 19-21), New Mexico State (April 2-4) and Western Kentucky (April 16-18).
Full schedules for both sports, including nonconference games, will be released at a later date.
