Prescott becomes Cowboys' all-time touchdown pass leader

Dak Prescott set the Dallas Cowboys franchise record for career touchdown passes in a 37-20 win over Washington, then reflected on his late mother.

Dak Prescott is now the Dallas Cowboys' all-time leader in touchdown passes. He set the mark on a fourth-quarter scoring throw to CeeDee Lamb on third-and-7 during a 37-20 victory over the Washington Commanders.

Prescott finished the game with 26 completions on 31 attempts, 279 passing yards and four touchdowns. Afterward, speaking on Inside the NFL, he reflected on his late mother, Peggy, who died in November 2013 at age 52 after a battle with colon cancer.

"I woke up this morning a little emotional, way more emotional than normal," Prescott said. "I just felt my mom. My mom was never short or hesitant to tell me how proud she was of me. She was never, never, never short of that. I could just hear that. That's enough."

Prescott was playing at Mississippi State when his mother passed away and returned to play shortly after. Dallas selected him in the fourth round, 135th overall, of the 2016 NFL Draft, and he has since become a four-time Pro Bowler, led the NFL in completions in 2025 and won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award for 2022.
