Dana White Hands Out Six UFC Contracts at Contender Series Week 7

The UFC CEO signed six fighters, including two who lost their bouts, after a night highlighted by decisions rather than finishes on DWCS.

Dana White awarded six UFC contracts on Week 7 of Dana White's Contender Series 2026, an unusually large haul for a card with few finishes. Damian Piwowarczyk earned his deal by handing Emilio Quissua his first professional loss, stopping him with a late flurry in the opening round of their light heavyweight bout.

Lightweights Piero Guaylupo and Callum Connor delivered a unanimous-decision war that White called a possible Fight of the Year contender, noting their combined significant strikes would have set a UFC three-round record had it occurred on a UFC card. Guaylupo won, but White signed both men, saying it takes two fighters to make a great fight.

Flyweight Marcos Degli, a teammate of Carlos Prates, submitted Paris Moran with a standing one-arm rear-naked choke to extend his win streak to 13 and secure a contract. In a welterweight contest, unbeaten Alvi Dasuyev beat Jaden Ortega by unanimous decision, and White signed both, adding that matchmaker Mick Maynard pushed for Ortega's inclusion.

Main-event winner Norbert Novenyi Jr. was left without a deal after a unanimous-decision win over Theo Haig in a fight that slowed badly as both fighters tired. White told Novenyi he saw nothing that made him a must-sign but left the door open to another look.
