Miami Dolphins rookie left guard Kadyn Proctor made a point of seeking out San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams after the teams' Week 2 matchup, which the 49ers won 35-13 at Levi's Stadium on Sept. 20, 2026.
Proctor, a 21-year-old first-round pick out of Alabama, told the South Florida Sun Sentinel's David Furones that he approached Williams wanting some plays back from his second NFL regular-season game. The rookie said Williams, now in his 17th season, told him he still has plays he wishes he could redo, and that mistakes are part of football against opponents who are also professionals.
The exchange came amid a rebuilding season for Miami, where a young roster is working through the adjustment period to the NFL. Furones noted that access to an elite lineman like the 38-year-old Williams, a 12-time Pro Bowl and three-time All-Pro selection, can help accelerate a young player's development.
