Fantasy Week 4: Start Braelon Allen and Jordan Addison, Bench Kendre Miller
The short version
- Braelon Allen: start as a flex play, with Breece Hall (quadriceps) ruled out
- Jordan Addison: start, with Justin Jefferson (ankle) missing the game
- Kendre Miller: bench, with Travis Etienne (hamstring) on injured reserve
- Alvin Kamara is expected to lead the Saints backfield, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport
Injuries to Breece Hall, Justin Jefferson and Travis Etienne have opened larger roles for Braelon Allen, Jordan Addison and Kendre Miller heading into NFL Week 4.
Week 4 of the NFL season arrives with several depth charts in flux, and fantasy football managers are feeling the effects. Injuries at running back and wide receiver have created openings for a handful of players, and three of the names most worth sorting out this week are Braelon Allen of the New York Jets, Jordan Addison of the Minnesota Vikings and Kendre Miller of the New Orleans Saints.
The injury report driving those opportunities is lengthy. Jets running back Breece Hall has been ruled out by a quadriceps injury, Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will sit because of an ankle problem, and Saints running back Travis Etienne was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring issue.
Allen is positioned to benefit most in New York. With Hall unable to play, the Jets' rushing duties fall to Allen and Isaiah Davis, and both are expected to touch the ball, but Allen carries the stronger claim: he is listed second on the depth chart, he took over every carry after Hall departed last week's game, and he drew three targets in the passing game. The matchup is friendly as well, since the Chicago Bears have allowed roughly average fantasy production to running backs this season, according to CBS Sports. The call here is to start Allen, who rates as a flex play capable of exceeding expectations.
Addison's situation is the simplest of the three. With Jefferson sidelined, the Vikings' aerial attack now runs through him, and Week 3 offered a preview of what that means. Once a hamstring injury knocked Jefferson out of that game early, Addison delivered his finest performance of the 2026 season: five catches for 90 yards and a touchdown, the scoring play covering 41 yards. He goes into lineups this week as a clear start.
Miller's outlook carries more doubt. He has barely registered through the season's first three games, and while Etienne's absence should mean additional opportunities, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Alvin Kamara is expected to head the New Orleans backfield, leaving Miller in a secondary role. The previous week pointed the same way, as Kamara ran the ball nine times against four for Miller and did considerably more with his chances. The recommendation is a bench role for Miller, though holding him on a roster offers protection if Kamara picks up an injury.
Summing up the Week 4 recommendations: Allen is a flex-level start riding the volume created by Hall's absence, Addison is a confident start with Jefferson out, and Miller belongs on the bench, held only as insurance behind Kamara.
On the Global Sportscast schedule, Jordan hosts Venezuela on Tuesday, October 6, at 1:00 PM EDT, with the fixture taking place at King Abdullah II Stadium.
