Chambliss Takes Over as Heisman Favorite After Monster Week 3

Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss surged to the top of FanDuel's Heisman odds after beating LSU, unseating a field of familiar contenders.

Trinidad Chambliss grabbed the front-runner spot in the Heisman Trophy race with a standout Week 3 showing. The Ole Miss quarterback threw for 363 yards and two scores on 33-of-48 passing, ran for a touchdown, and helped the Rebels hold off a second-half LSU rally in a 32-24 win. His FanDuel odds jumped from +1,100 before the weekend to +480 afterward, and now sit at +340, ahead of Miami's Darian Mensah at +420.

Mensah kept pace with an efficient day at Wake Forest, going 30 of 34 for 220 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-20 Miami road win. He hit his first 24 attempts and ran his streak to 35 straight completions spanning two games, an ACC mark.

Arch Manning of Texas had a quieter outing, finishing 17 of 33 for 164 yards and two touchdowns while adding 50 rushing yards in a 30-6 win over UTSA. He is still listed at +1200, tied with CJ Carr, and gets a big stage Saturday when the Longhorns open SEC play at No. 14 Tennessee.

Jeremiah Smith and Mississippi State's Kamario Taylor also remain in the conversation. Taylor climbed to +750 after passing for 251 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-34 victory at South Carolina. With three SEC quarterbacks near the top of the board, conference matchups over the coming weeks could reshuffle the race again.
