Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla spent time with Michael Jordan and Phil Jackson this summer, according to former Celtics forward Brian Scalabrine.
Scalabrine, who won a championship with Boston, shared the detail on The Starting Lineup, a show on SiriusXM NBA Radio. He said Mazzulla mentioned the meetings at a partners' summit.
Scalabrine also relayed a piece of advice Jordan gave Mazzulla during their time together. "The reason why I kept winning was I acted like I never won," Scalabrine quoted Jordan as saying.
Expanding on that mindset, Scalabrine said approaching each season as if nothing has been accomplished keeps the hunger to win alive. He noted that approach defined Jordan's career.
