Juventus are closing in on an agreement with Brazilian goalkeeper Neto, according to reports in the Italian press. Gazzetta, Tuttosport and Corriere dello Sport all report that the 37-year-old, currently without a club, is line for a contract running to the end of the season.
The move follows a serious knee injury to Kamil Grabara, who is on loan at Juventus from Wolfsburg. Grabara was hurt the day after a 5-0 Europa League win over NEC, a match in which he recorded an assist on his debut for the club.
Neto previously played for Juventus from 2015 to 2018, recording 13 clean sheets in 22 appearances across all competitions. He has also played for Bournemouth and Arsenal.
Juventus are also planning ahead at the goalkeeper position. With Guglielmo Vicario on loan from Tottenham, the club is seeking a young keeper who could develop into the starter, and Gazzetta reports that Frosinone's Lorenzo Palmisani is among their top targets for next season.
Palmisani, a 22-year-old Italy under-21 international, was named man of the match in Frosinone's 2-0 win over Como on Sunday. Juventus had already made contact over the summer and are expected to keep monitoring him, though negotiations have not yet begun.
