Linn Grant eyes WTGL debut as New York Golf Club opens season Nov. 8

The Solheim Cup standout is set to bring her game and personality to the new women's indoor golf league, which launches November 8 on ESPN.
The women's counterpart to TGL, known as WTGL, begins its inaugural season on November 8 when Los Angeles Golf Club faces New York Golf Club. The match will air on ESPN.
Linn Grant is among the players set to take part. The Swedish golfer, coming off a Solheim Cup where she helped Europe to victory and earned MVP honors, will suit up for New York Golf Club in the opener.
Both TGL and WTGL are played indoors at the SoFi Center, with matches featuring team competition and technology-driven play. Players are also mic'd up during matches, giving viewers a closer look at their personalities.
Grant told SB Nation she is eager for that aspect of the format, saying the chance to show her personality is part of what excites her about the new league. She also said she believes the league can succeed and help elevate the women's game.
