No. 3 Notre Dame Visits Purdue With Ryan Browne at Quarterback Again

The undefeated Fighting Irish travel to West Lafayette on Saturday to face Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne for a second straight season.

Undefeated Notre Dame, ranked No. 3 in both the US LBM Coaches and Associated Press polls, travels to Purdue on Saturday. The Fighting Irish enter the game at 3-0.

The Boilermakers will again turn to redshirt junior quarterback Ryan Browne, now in his fourth year with the program. He started all 12 of Purdue's games last season, a campaign that finished 2-10.

In his Purdue career, Browne has completed 199 of 338 passes for 2,153 yards, with nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has added 206 rushing yards and four scores on 66 carries.

Saturday will mark Browne's second career start against Notre Dame in as many years. In last season's 56-30 loss to the Irish, he completed 21 of 34 passes for one touchdown and one interception.

Purdue (1-2) opened the year with a 44-19 win over Indiana State on Sept. 4 before dropping consecutive games, including a 52-38 loss to UCLA last week in which Browne threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns.
