Report: Manchester United open to £63 million sale of Benjamin Sesko

The short version
- TuttoJuve reports Manchester United would consider €75 million (£63 million) offers for Sesko, signed from RB Leipzig for about £74 million in 2025.
- The 23-year-old became an important figure under Michael Carrick last season after struggling for starts under Ruben Amorim.
- A shin problem dating to last season kept him out of the Fulham squad and at Carrington during the international break.
- Barcelona seek a long-term heir to Robert Lewandowski; Juventus, who signed Kolo Muani and Woltemade, are expected to monitor Sesko closely.
Manchester United have reportedly set a €75 million (£63 million) valuation on Benjamin Sesko, with Barcelona and Juventus monitoring the 23-year-old Slovenian striker.
Manchester United have reportedly placed a €75 million price tag — roughly £63 million — on Benjamin Sesko, with Barcelona and Juventus both interested in the 23-year-old Slovenian striker. According to TuttoJuve, INEOS has settled on that number a little more than a year after the club paid around £74 million to sign him from RB Leipzig.
Sesko arrived at Old Trafford in 2025 as part of a rebuilt forward line, linking up with Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in the attack assembled for Ruben Amorim. The former Leipzig front man found regular starts hard to come by under the Portuguese manager, and his situation changed only once Michael Carrick took charge.
Across the second half of last season, Sesko developed into one of Carrick's most relied-upon attackers, delivering important goals whether selected from the start or introduced off the bench. That first campaign at Old Trafford, the report argues, offered evidence he could serve as United's leading No. 9 for the next decade, even though his game remains a work in progress.
His second season has been disrupted by a shin complaint that first emerged last term. Sesko was left out of the squad for the Fulham match and stayed at the club's Carrington base while the recent international window ran its course, and observers fear another extended layoff could lie ahead — a prospect that would leave Carrick short of options.
Determined to help from the opening weekend despite sitting out the entire pre-season, Sesko made himself available again quickly, and the report suggests that early comeback may have done more harm than good. His quiet start to the current campaign, it adds, should not be judged harshly, since he has been operating well below full fitness.
Barcelona are among his admirers. The Spanish club brought in Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal not long ago, yet it continues to search for a long-term heir to Robert Lewandowski.
Juventus are the other club linked with a move. The Turin side added Randal Kolo Muani and Nick Woltemade to its attack during the summer, but Woltemade is only on loan from Newcastle United and has yet to convince in his early appearances. TuttoJuve expects Juventus officials to keep a close watch on Sesko in the months ahead, provided the striker is fit enough to play.
Any sale would carry complications for United. The squad has no other striker in his mold, so the departure of the No. 30 would leave a considerable gap at the top of the attack. Sanctioning a transfer would therefore likely require the club to recruit two front men in 2027, and the report calls that outcome no sure thing, particularly if INEOS stays cautious in the transfer market.
Slovenia, Sesko's national team, are next in action away to Scotland on Tuesday, October 6, kicking off at 2:45 PM EDT at Hampden Park.
