Booker Slips to No. 20 in ESPN NBA Rank Ahead of 2026-27 Season

The Suns guard dropped four spots from last year's ESPN Top 100 list but remains among the league's top 20 players.
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker landed at No. 20 on ESPN's annual Top 100 players list for the 2026-27 season, a drop from his No. 16 finish a year ago. The five-time All-Star is one of three Suns players considered, though only two made the cut.
Panelist Vincent Goodwill described Booker as a "rare one-team star," noting his 11 seasons have all come in Phoenix and that he remains under contract through 2029-30. Goodwill projected another season of roughly 26 points and six assists while praising Booker's ability to adapt to different supporting casts, from Chris Paul to Kevin Durant to current teammate Dillon Brooks.
Booker averaged 26.1 points, six assists and 3.9 rebounds last season while shooting 45.6% from the field. His three-point accuracy fell to 33%, just above his career low of 32.6% set in 2018-19.
Dillon Brooks debuted on the list at No. 76 after being unranked last year, while Jalen Green did not make the cut. Both players arrived from Houston in the 2025 offseason trade that sent Durant to the Rockets, and Durant himself placed 13th this year. ESPN trimmed its voting panel from more than 100 contributors to seven this season and will reveal its top 10 on Sept. 24.
