Vikings mulling RB decisions ahead of Week 3 Bucs battle

With Jordan Mason placed on IR last Wednesday, Aaron Jones received one of his biggest workloads in years with 23 carries against the Bears. He left Sunday’s game momentarily after a brutal hit set his helmet flying, but the 31-year-old appears to be ready to continue being the bellcow back going forward.

“He’s obviously a little sore today, but he came out okay, I think,” head coach Kevin O’Connell told the media on Monday. “Nolan (Teasley) and I, we’re having some conversation right now. What the plan looks like for the week, and obviously navigating this time while [Jordan Mason] is down. We’ll keep you posted on kind of the plan for Aaron, obviously what that looks like, and how sustainable that is. He is a guy, clearly, that we have a lot of confidence in, but want to be smart about it as well.”
