The 2-1 Sooners travel to Sanford Stadium to face the unbeaten Bulldogs in a 2:30 p.m. CT kickoff Saturday, Sept. 26, on ESPN.

Oklahoma heads to Athens, Georgia, this Saturday for a Week 4 Southeastern Conference showdown with Georgia at Sanford Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT on Sept. 26, and the broadcast will be carried nationally on ESPN. Bob Wischusen will handle play-by-play duties with Louis Riddick serving as the analyst in the booth.

The matchup features quarterback John Mateer leading the Sooners (2-1) against a Georgia side guided by quarterback Gunner Stockton. Oklahoma arrives off a narrow 14-6 home victory over New Mexico in Norman last Saturday, while the Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 SEC) opened league play with a dominant 45-17 road win at Arkansas.

Georgia enters the contest as a heavy favorite. According to odds from BetMGM posted Friday, Sept. 25, the Bulldogs are favored by 13.5 points, the over/under is set at 43.5, and the moneyline lists Georgia at -550 with Oklahoma at +425. A prediction from The Oklahoman's Colton Sulley calls for a 27-17 Georgia victory, anticipating that the Bulldogs' defense will exploit Oklahoma's offensive line troubles and lackluster ground attack while the Sooners' strong defense keeps the game within reach.

Safety KJ Bolden stands out as Georgia's top defensive playmaker. A third-year Bulldog, Bolden has recorded seven tackles so far this season and earned a spot on the SEC coaches' All-SEC Second Team a year ago after totaling 76 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and five pass breakups in 2025.

Stockton, now in his second season as the Bulldogs' starter, has looked increasingly comfortable and needed only 13 completions to get past Arkansas. Kirby Smart's defense has also been among the country's best, with 28 of the 40 points it has surrendered coming in the fourth quarter against reserves. On the Oklahoma side, the case for the Sooners rests on a defense considered elite once again, along with the argument that Georgia's perfect record has come against weak opposition in Tennessee State, Western Kentucky and an Arkansas team that may rank among the worst in power-conference football. Oklahoma is also hoping quarterback Mateer can limit mistakes and generate a handful of big plays in a hostile road environment.

The Week 4 slate around the SEC includes several other notable games. Texas plays at Tennessee at 11 a.m. on ABC, South Alabama visits Kentucky at 11:45 a.m. on the SEC Network, and Ole Miss travels to Florida for a 2:30 p.m. game on ABC. South Carolina plays at Alabama at 6 p.m. on ESPN, Texas A&M meets LSU in Baton Rouge at 6:30 p.m. on ABC, Missouri goes to Mississippi State at 6:45 p.m. on the SEC Network, and Tulsa wraps the night with a 7 p.m. game at Arkansas on SEC Network+.

Oklahoma's season began with a 51-0 rout of UTEP on Sept. 4, followed by a 17-10 loss to Michigan on Sept. 12 and the win over New Mexico. After Saturday's game, the Sooners get a bye week before facing Texas in Dallas on Oct. 10 at 2:30 p.m., with the rest of the schedule including home games against Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi and Texas A&M plus road trips to Mississippi State, Florida and Missouri.

Georgia has been dominant through three weeks, beating Tennessee State 63-3, Western Kentucky 70-20 and Arkansas 45-17. Following Saturday's game, the Bulldogs host Vanderbilt on Oct. 3, visit Alabama on Oct. 10 and host Auburn on Oct. 17, with Florida awaiting on Oct. 31 and the regular season closing against Georgia Tech on Nov. 28.
