Falcone leads La Salle past East Greenwich in Rhode Island girls soccer

Mila Falcone finished with a goal and two assists as unbeaten La Salle beat East Greenwich 3-0, headlining Tuesday's high school results across Rhode Island.
Mila Falcone scored in the 15th minute and set up two more goals as La Salle defeated East Greenwich 3-0 in Division I girls soccer Tuesday night at Cimini Stadium. Reese Ridolf scored shortly after halftime and Campbell Cordeiro added a late goal for the Rams, who improved to 5-0-2 while defending their state title. Goalkeeper Grace Keenan made late saves to preserve the shutout, while East Greenwich (3-2-0) lost for only the second time this season.
Cumberland bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 4-1 Division I win over Moses Brown. Paynter Maher scored three times, including the go-ahead goal late in the first half, after Mackenzie Ferrer had opened the scoring and Cole Walker equalized for Moses Brown. Cumberland (7-1) will host Cranston West on Saturday, while Moses Brown (1-3) visits Lincoln on Thursday.
In other Division I results, Lincoln rolled past Cranston West 5-0 behind two goals from Riley Bouthillette, and Chariho and Mt. Hope played to a 2-2 draw. Sara Nencka scored both goals for Mt. Hope, with Alexis Comella and Morgan Brucker answering for Chariho.
Providence Country Day improved to 5-0-1 with an 8-0 Division III win over Rogers as Molly Perrotta recorded a hat trick and Brenna Cannon added two goals. In volleyball, Coventry swept South Kingstown 25-11, 25-14, 25-17 behind strong all-around games from Kelsey Knutton, Alexis Kennedy and Payton Baris.
In boys soccer, Johnston edged Cranston East 3-2 in a Division II matchup with all five goals coming before halftime. Nahyan Acosta, Aaron Gomez and Freddy Magana scored for the Panthers, while Mateo Zurita and Giovani Love replied for the Thunderbolts.
