The Boston Celtics have named Tandem Vet Care, a Massachusetts-based veterinary healthcare company, as an official partner in a multiyear deal covering the 2026-27 NBA season and beyond. The club announced the agreement Wednesday, Sept. 23, through a press release.
Tandem is building a care model that combines virtual services, mobile clinics in local neighborhoods, and full-service treatment at its Somerville facility. Co-founder and CEO Prem Sharma said the company was designed to reduce cost, complexity, and administrative burden for families and clinicians, and that the Celtics partnership provides a major platform to reach pet owners across Greater Boston.
Celtics Chief Partnership Officer Ted Dalton said the deal offers fans a way to connect with the team around their pets. As part of the arrangement, Tandem will present an animal-themed halftime event at two Celtics home games during the upcoming season.
The company will also host a free community pet wellness celebration on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 12:30 to 3:30 PM at Tandem Veterinary Clinic, 116 Beacon St., Somerville, MA 02143. Former Celtics player Brian Scalabrine, team mascot Lucky the Leprechaun, and a championship trophy are scheduled to appear.
