The Toronto Raptors have converted guard Jaden Bradley's two-way contract into a four-year, $9.3 million standard NBA deal. The move, reported this week, was driven largely by roster requirements rather than on-court performance, and it set off a chain reaction across the team's final roster decisions.

The timing follows the league's approval of the Kawhi Leonard trade, which sent Brandon Ingram and Gradey Dick to the Los Angeles Clippers and left Toronto with only 13 players on standard contracts. As a second-round pick, Bradley carried a small enough cap hit that he was reportedly the only player the hard-capped Raptors could immediately add as a 14th man.

Bradley struggled at Las Vegas Summer League, averaging 6.4 points on 32.4% shooting, but the front office valued his four college seasons at Alabama and Arizona. That run included a Big 12 Player of the Year campaign, All-Defensive Team honors, and a Final Four appearance. He joins fellow Big 12 Player of the Year Jamal Shead in Toronto's backcourt.

Malachi Smith, who signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal with Toronto on August 17, moves into the two-way slot Bradley vacated. With that spot filled, Exhibit-10 players such as Nate Bittle and Andre Jackson Jr. remain in competition for whatever roster spots are left before final cuts.
