Las Vegas tight end Brock Bowers will practice Wednesday ahead of Sunday's game at New Orleans, though coach Klint Kubiak stopped short of clearing him to play.
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is set to practice Wednesday as the team begins preparing for Sunday's road matchup with the New Orleans Saints. Bowers has missed the first two games of the season, both Raiders wins, after undergoing knee surgery 15 days ago.
Head coach Klint Kubiak told reporters Wednesday morning that Bowers remains day-to-day and will be evaluated as the week goes on. He declined to guarantee the tight end would be ready to face the Saints. After Sunday's win over the Chargers, Kubiak said Bowers had been very close to playing.
Bowers was limited in Friday's practice and went through a workout before the Chargers game before being held out of the lineup. If he avoids setbacks this week, he appears on track to make his season debut in New Orleans.
Kubiak was less certain about cornerback Darien Porter, saying only "we'll see" when asked whether Porter would take part in Wednesday's session. Rookie safety Treydan Stukes remains in the concussion protocol, and his progress toward clearance is unclear.
