Green Bay is 1-1 but ranks last in the league in penalties, rushing yards, third-down conversion, completion percentage and pass block win rate heading into Week 3.
The Green Bay Packers are 1-1 to open the 2026 season, but the underlying numbers through two weeks have been ugly. Matt LaFleur's team sits at the bottom of several important NFL statistical categories heading into Thursday night's Week 3 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
Discipline has been a major issue. Green Bay leads the league with 26 accepted penalties, 32 penalties overall and 231 accepted penalty yards, with pre-snap infractions a recurring problem. The run game has also stalled, as the Packers rank last with just 129 rushing yards through two games.
The passing game has struggled just as much. Jordan Love is last among qualified quarterbacks with a 52.1 percent completion rate, and he has been pressured on 34 dropbacks. His receivers have also dropped six of his passes, the most for any quarterback in the league, with Matthew Golden dropping a third-down pass in back-to-back games.
Third down has been a dead end for the offense. The Packers have converted only 4 of 24 third downs, a league-worst 19 percent, including just 1 of 9 in Week 2 at MetLife Stadium.
Protection may be the biggest concern of all. Per ESPN, Green Bay ranks last in the NFL by a wide margin with an 18 percent pass block win rate, and Next Gen Stats credits opponents with 10 unblocked pressures on Love. The problem worsened with the season-ending loss of Zach Bako-Bewele, the team's best pass blocker.
