Texas Leads SEC Power Rankings Heading Into Week 4

Oklahoma drops out of the top 10 after a narrow win over New Mexico, while Texas remains No. 1 and Georgia sits second in the SEC entering Week 4.
Oklahoma became the first team to fall out of the SEC top 10 this season after a 14-6 win over New Mexico in Week 3. Yahoo Sports cited continued offensive issues and the overall depth of the conference as reasons the narrow victory was not enough to keep the Sooners ranked.
Texas holds the No. 1 spot despite what the rankings called a quieter week, following a 30-6 win. Receiver Cam Coleman caught two touchdown passes as he becomes more involved in the passing game. No. 2 Georgia dominated Arkansas 45-17, and No. 3 Ole Miss moved up after beating LSU 32-24, with quarterback Trinidad Chambliss standing out both throwing and running.
Elsewhere in the top 10, Alabama sits fourth after Keelon Russell threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns and added a 57-yard rushing score in a 50-36 win over Florida State. LSU dropped to fifth following the loss to Ole Miss, and Mississippi State is sixth. Florida is seventh after a 44-39 win over Auburn in which Jadan Baugh rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns.
Tennessee is eighth at 3-0 after a 42-9 win over Kennesaw State and faces a major test this week with No. 1 Texas visiting. Texas A&M fell to ninth after quarterback Marcel Reed threw two interceptions in a conference-opening loss to Kentucky, and Missouri rounds out the list at tenth after beating Troy 27-17 behind Jamal Roberts' 128 rushing yards.
