Eagles Sign Veteran DB Kenny Moore to Practice Squad

The Philadelphia Eagles signed former Indianapolis Colts defensive back Kenny Moore to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to Yahoo Sports. Moore, 31, was released after the 2026 NFL Draft and had drawn interest around the league during the summer.
Moore spent nine seasons with the Colts, appearing in 132 games with 111 starts. He recorded 649 career tackles, 11.5 sacks, 21 interceptions and 39.5 tackles for loss, and has experience at both slot cornerback and safety. He joins a Philadelphia secondary that includes Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean and Tariq Woolen.
The move came on the same day the Washington Commanders, who sit at 0-3, worked out three defensive backs as they deal with struggles in pass coverage. Cornerback Mike Sainristil received a 31.2 grade from Pro Football Focus through two weeks, and head coach Dan Quinn publicly criticized his focus after a loss to the Eagles.
Washington's current cornerbacks include Amik Robertson, who has been the top player at the position, and veteran Rasul Douglas, signed in July. The team is also waiting on 2024 second-round pick Trey Amos to return.
The Commanders host the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in their home opener on Sunday and will be without quarterback Jayden Daniels.
