Eagles Split National Analysts at 2-0 in Week 2 Power Rankings

The short version
- Eagles are 2-0 and ranked between No. 6 and No. 16 in Week 2 national power rankings
- ESPN ranked Philadelphia No. 6; CBS Sports and FOX Sports both had the Eagles at No. 7
- USA TODAY's Nate Davis ranked the Eagles No. 16, behind the No. 12 Dallas Cowboys
- Jalen Hurts has five touchdown passes, tied for second in the NFL
- Pete Prisco flagged Saquon Barkley's injury as one to watch
Philadelphia sits anywhere from No. 6 to No. 16 in major national power rankings after opening the season with two wins.
The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-0 after two weeks of the NFL season, but national power rankings show a wide split on how good the team actually is. Across the rankings examined this week, Philadelphia landed anywhere from No. 6 to No. 16.
ESPN placed the Eagles highest at No. 6, crediting quarterback Jalen Hurts for keeping the team undefeated. Hurts has five touchdown passes, tied for second in the league, and led a go-ahead touchdown drive in the closing seconds of Sunday's win over Tennessee.
CBS Sports' Pete Prisco and FOX Sports' Ralph Vacchiano each ranked Philadelphia No. 7. Prisco noted the win over the Titans was not clean and flagged Saquon Barkley's injury as a situation to monitor. Vacchiano moved the Eagles up from No. 9 but said the team still concerns him, pointing to Hurts' two interceptions against Tennessee while praising his late-game play and receiver DeVonta Smith.
USA TODAY's Nate Davis was the low outlier at No. 16, two spots higher than last week. Davis noted Hurts was under heavy pressure from what appeared to be a weaker opponent Sunday, though Philadelphia remains atop the NFC East.
The common thread across the rankings: analysts agree Hurts is carrying the Eagles early, but questions about the offense, the offensive line and the running game have kept Philadelphia from consensus status as one of the league's clear top teams.
