The Commanders quarterback will visit another specialist Wednesday, and Marcus Mariota is line to start against Seattle.
Washington Commanders head coach Dan Quinn told reporters that he has no update yet on quarterback Jayden Daniels, who is scheduled to see another specialist Wednesday for his dislocated left elbow. Daniels will miss at least this week's game against the Seattle Seahawks, and no clear timeline exists for his return.
Daniels hurt the elbow again on the final play of the second quarter in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Marcus Mariota is expected to start in his place when Washington hosts Seattle.
Quinn said he wants definitive information before addressing whether the team might add another quarterback. "I'm not going to assume on the timeline," Quinn said. "Once I know, I'll share it with you to go. But I think just for me to say, this many weeks or not, I'd rather wait on that and let's get all the info."
On the injury front elsewhere, Quinn ruled out safety Nick Cross for Week 3 after he suffered an internal injury against Dallas. Right guard Sam Cosmi is in the concussion protocol, while linebacker Frankie Luvu, tight end Chig Okonkwo, and a defensive tackle are also rehabbing this week.
