Ferry Delays Decision on Dundee United Future

The Republic of Ireland full-back has paused negotiations with the Scottish club and is unwilling to settle his future this month.

Dundee United wide defender Will Ferry, a Republic of Ireland international, has shelved discussions over a new contract at Tannadice, according to Scottish roundups citing the Courier, the Daily Record and the Sun.

The 25-year-old is unwilling to resolve his future during September, though reports indicate he has not dismissed the possibility of staying with the club past next summer.

Elsewhere in the roundups, Rangers vice-captain Dan Neil told the Sun the club 'probably weren't ready for' their European fixtures this season, campaigns that concluded with elimination from both the Europa League and the Conference League.

Aberdeen manager Stephen Robinson, quoted in the Record, wants his team to return from the international break in stronger form and has scheduled two friendlies during the pause, per the Press and Journal.

Dundee boss Steven Pressley told the Record he 'couldn't be happier' that former players Luke Graham and Jon McCracken earned Scotland call-ups, while the Sun reports Scotland-capped defender David Bates, 29, has played every match since joining promoted Turkish club Amed, who now sit top of the Super Lig.
