O'Neill Calls for Reset After Celtic's Third Loss in a Week

Celtic fell 1-0 to Rangers at Celtic Park, a third defeat in seven days, but Martin O'Neill says the situation is not a disaster.

Celtic dropped a 1-0 decision to Rangers at Celtic Park on Sunday, with a first-half goal from Ryan Naderi deciding the match for Derek McInnes' side. It was the club's third loss in a seven-day span.

The slump began with a 3-0 Premier Sports Cup defeat to Rangers at Ibrox the previous Sunday, followed by a 3-1 Europa League loss to Ferencvaros in between the two derby setbacks.

Despite the poor run, Celtic still hold a two-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership. Manager Martin O'Neill, speaking on Sky Sports, called it a tough stretch but said the club's history shows it recovers from such moments.

"It's concerning, of course. Is it a blip, is it a disaster? I don't think it is a disaster. I think we have to rethink and reset," O'Neill said.

O'Neill said the team will reassess when players return from international duty.
