George Kittle praised new 49ers teammate Mike Evans after the wide receiver joined San Francisco on a three-year deal this offseason.
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle expressed enthusiasm about lining up with wide receiver Mike Evans, who joined the team in free agency this summer.
Evans spent 12 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before signing a three-year, $60.4 million contract with the 49ers, filling the spot opened by Brandon Aiyuk's release.
Speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, Kittle said Evans would fit any offense and grouped him with tackle Trent Williams as future Hall of Famers he now plays alongside. He added that blocking while Brock Purdy throws to Evans feels like a dream come true.
On the field, Kittle managed two catches for 12 yards in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams, then posted four receptions for 80 yards in Week 2. Evans has recorded roughly 50 receiving yards in each of the first two games as the 49ers started 2-0.
