New York got a favorable update on left tackle Andrew Thomas after a Monday night loss filled with injuries, including a season-ending knee injury for quarterback Jaxson Dart.
New York Giants left tackle Andrew Thomas may be available for Sunday's Week 3 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the groin/adductor injury Thomas suffered Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams is not considered serious.
Thomas left in the fourth quarter of the 28-6 loss after playing most of the game. The Giants originally listed him as questionable to return.
The update comes at a critical time for New York. Quarterback Jaxson Dart's season ended Wednesday when evaluations showed damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus; he is scheduled for surgery. Wide receiver Malik Nabers injured a shoulder Monday but returned to the game, and linebacker Brian Burns is dealing with a low ankle sprain with no clear timetable.
With Jameis Winston expected to start at quarterback, having Thomas back would provide stability to an offense facing considerable uncertainty. Winston completed 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards with an interception and two sacks in relief on Monday.
