The New York Giants (1-1) welcome the Tennessee Titans (0-2) to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday in a Week 3 interconference matchup. Tennessee has dropped two straight at home to open the Robert Saleh era — a 23-10 loss to the Jets in which the Titans held the ball barely more than 21 minutes, and a defeat against Philadelphia on a touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to Darius Cooper with nine seconds left.
The Giants lead the all-time series 7-6 across 14 meetings since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger. New York claimed the last regular-season encounter, 21-20, at Nissan Stadium in Week 1 of 2022, but has not beaten the franchise — previously the Houston Oilers until the 1997 relocation to Nashville — on its own field since a 24-20 win in Week 17 of 1991. Giants coach John Harbaugh carries a 5-5 career record against Tennessee.
Tennessee's offense sits at the bottom of the league in time of possession (22:25) and first downs per game (12.5), ranks next to last in total yards (243.0 per game), 30th in passing yards (148.0), and 26th in points with 30. On the other side of the ball, nose tackle Jeffery Simmons anchors a strong interior alongside linebacker Cedric Gray, rookie Anthony Hill Jr., and safeties Amari Hooker and Kevin Winston Jr.
Sunday also marks a homecoming. Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, the Giants' head coach from 2022-2025, brings former Giants assistants Shea Tierney, Carmen Bricillo, Cade Knox, and Marquand Manuel, plus ex-New York players Wan'Dale Robinson, Cor'Dale Flott, Daniel Bellinger, Austin Schlottmann, and James Hudson III. A quarterback duel between Cam Ward, the top overall pick out of Miami, and Jaxson Dart, selected 25th out of Ole Miss, won't happen — Dart is out indefinitely with a knee injury suffered last Monday night.
