New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart will miss the rest of the season after additional testing revealed a more serious knee injury than first believed, according to a report from Titans Wire via Yahoo Sports. Dart was hurt in Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams and will undergo surgery.
Veteran Jameis Winston is expected to start for the Giants on Sunday when they host the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium. Winston replaced Dart against the Rams and completed 11 of 27 passes for 111 yards with an interception.
The injury also cancels a anticipated meeting between Dart and Titans quarterback Cam Ward, both 2025 first-round picks. The two are not scheduled to face each other again until at least 2028 if both remain starters.
