Luís Campos told the Portugal Football Summit Podcast that Paris Saint-Germain still have the appetite to chase a third consecutive Champions League crown.
Paris Saint-Germain sit sixth in Ligue 1 after a sluggish opening to the campaign. The club drew none of its first three league matches as victories, then needed hard-fought wins against Stade Brestois and Olympique de Marseille. Their European season began far more convincingly, with a 6-1 rout of Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League.
Speaking on the Portugal Football Summit Podcast, with comments transcribed by L'Équipe, sporting director Luís Campos addressed whether the squad retains its edge after consecutive Champions League triumphs — the most successful stretch in the club's history.
"I hope, and I feel as though the hunger is still there," Campos said. "The desire to work together and privilege the collective is still present at the club." He indicated the club wants a third straight European title this season.
Captain Marquinhos has said publicly that the squad must keep its ambition to match the achievements of recent years. A sixth Ligue 1 crown in a row is treated as a baseline for the season, while the Champions League remains the priority.
