Dart was hurt on the opening drive of New York's game against the Los Angeles Rams, going down awkwardly after a hit by Josaiah Stewart. The Giants went on to lose the game in a lopsided result, and the defeat came with additional injuries to Brian Burns, Malik Nabers and Andrew Thomas.
