The Los Angeles Rams beat the New York Giants 28-6 on Monday night at SoFi Stadium, and NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger featured the performance in his 'Baldy's Breakdowns' series this week.
Aaron Donald returned to the lineup in his debut after coming out of retirement and recorded three tackles, including one for a loss, plus one pressure. Baldinger noted that Donald started, played more than half the snaps, and still showed his quickness and power.
Davante Adams caught passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns, falling 11 yards short of his career high. Baldinger called it a one-man show and questioned the soft coverage the Giants used against him.
The offensive line kept Matthew Stafford clean, allowing only two hits on the quarterback, an improvement from the season opener against San Francisco. Baldinger singled out Alaric Jackson and Warren McClendon Jr., noting none of the Rams' linemen were first-round picks.
Tight end Colby Parkinson drew praise for his run blocking, which Baldinger said was as good as any tight end in the league. Kyren Williams and Blake Corum each rushed for more than 79 yards in the win.
