Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford climbed another rung on the franchise's all-time leaderboard Monday night against the New York Giants. He threw two touchdown passes in the first half, bringing his total with the team to 143.
That total moved Stafford past every Rams passer except Roman Gabriel, who holds the franchise record with 154 touchdown passes. Gabriel reached his mark over 130 games with the club, while Stafford has needed only 65.
Stafford is in his sixth season with the Rams. He entered Monday night already near the top of the team's career passing lists despite his relatively short tenure in Los Angeles.
If he stays healthy, Stafford is on track to overtake Gabriel's record at some point this season.
