Bears Listed as 3-Point Favorites Over Visiting Jets, per FanDuel

New York heads to Chicago at 1-2 after consecutive late collapses, with FanDuel making the Jets 3-point underdogs and +138 on the moneyline in Week 4.

Oddsmakers do not expect the New York Jets to end their slide when they travel to face the Chicago Bears next Sunday. FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Jets as 3-point road underdogs for the Week 4 meeting, with the over/under for the game set at 43.5 points. On the moneyline, the Bears are -164 and the Jets are +138.

The line lands during a rough stretch for a Jets team that began 2026 with an emphatic victory over the Tennessee Titans. New York has not won since, losing twice in a row in painful fashion to sit at 1-2 through three games. A win in Chicago would get the Jets back to .500.

The first of the defeats came a week earlier against the Green Bay Packers, a game New York had controlled for long stretches. The Jets were up by double digits early in the fourth quarter before the team collapsed and fell in overtime.

Sunday brought another dose of late agony, this time at the hands of the Detroit Lions. New York trailed for most of the afternoon before a late rally, capped by a Garrett Wilson touchdown grab with a little more than four minutes remaining in regulation that pulled the Jets even at 24.

Detroit answered right back, moving in front 31-24 with just under two minutes to play. New York's final possession reached inside the Lions' 30-yard line, but Geno Smith lost the ball when he was sacked by blitzing former Jet Chuck Clark, and the Lions recovered the fumble. With no timeouts left, the Jets never got another snap, and a game they had battled to tie was gone.

Chicago's season has opened along similarly mixed lines. The Bears also won their opener before dropping their second game, leaving them at 1-1 heading into their third contest, which arrives on Monday Night Football this week.

Chicago has its own issue at quarterback. Starter Caleb Williams went down with an injury last week, and the offense produced only three points in a 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings without him. Tyson Bagent took over and struggled to move the ball.

Whether Williams can return for the visit from the Jets may go a long way toward deciding how Week 4 plays out. If he remains sidelined, New York's chances of snapping the skid would improve considerably, and a victory would lift the Jets to 2-2. Even so, the oddsmakers still have New York catching points on the road.

Before the Jets arrive, the Bears have Monday night business to handle. Chicago hosts the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, September 28 at 8:15 p.m. EDT at Soldier Field, and the game airs on ESPN and ABC.
