Green Bay moved to 1-1 with a 20-17 overtime victory against the New York Jets in Week 2, but the offense remains a concern. The Packers have converted just 19.1% of their third downs through two games, the lowest figure in the NFL.
Head coach Matt LaFleur did not mince words when addressing the problem, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. "It's disgusting," LaFleur said. "It's almost third-and-10 every time."
Penalties have compounded the issues. Green Bay leads the league with 26 penalties accepted for 231 yards, and 32 total flags thrown against the club.
The Packers face a quick turnaround with a Thursday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, leaving LaFleur only three days to prepare his squad. Quarterback Jordan Love has thrown for 532 yards and four touchdowns on 52.1% passing so far this season.
