USA TODAY's Nate Davis delivered the harshest assessment, sliding the Ravens eight spots to No. 15. Ralph Vacchiano of FOX Sports ranked them No. 9 after previously placing them first, while Pete Prisco of CBS Sports dropped them five spots to No. 11.
ESPN kept Baltimore at No. 7, two spots ahead of AFC North rival Cincinnati. ESPN's Jamison Hensley pointed to pass-protection struggles, noting that Lamar Jackson's two lowest pass block win rates as a starter have come in the season's first two weeks: 38% at Indianapolis and 33% against New Orleans.
The rankings followed a season-opening win over the Indianapolis Colts that had lifted expectations for first-year head coach Jesse Minter's team. Baltimore is 1-1 heading into a Week 3 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys in Brazil.
