AC Milan have identified Real Madrid forward Endrick as their leading transfer target, according to a Calciomercato report carried by Yahoo Sports. The Brazilian tops the shortlist of head coach Ruben Amorim and club chairman Gerry Cardinale as Milan aim for a top-four finish and a return to the Champions League.
Endrick, 20, is said to fit Amorim's preferred 3-4-2-1 system as an inside forward, and could also operate in the 4-3-3 formation Milan used in their win over Lecce. Milan did not sign a marquee forward to replace Rafael Leao over the summer.
The striker impressed on loan at Lyon, recording eight goals and eight assists in 21 appearances. He has since struggled for playing time at Madrid, where competition for places in the attacking positions has left him on the margins.
Milan would not be alone in pursuing him. Roma are also interested, while Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal have previously monitored the player, and Liverpool have been mentioned as a possible fit.
The report suggests Milan's strong relationship with Real Madrid, built in part through Brahim Diaz's development spell in Milan, could help facilitate a move, possibly on loan.
