Seattle's starting right guard will miss at least four games, with his earliest possible return set for Week 7 against Kansas City.
The Seattle Seahawks placed starting right guard Anthony Bradford on injured reserve on Wednesday, ruling him out for a minimum of four games. His first chance to suit up again comes in Week 7, when Seattle hosts the Kansas City Chiefs on Oct. 25.
Bradford had entered last Sunday's win over the Arizona Cardinals listed as questionable because of knee and hip issues. His participation trended downward during the week, going from limited in Friday's practice to out entirely by Saturday.
Head coach Mike Macdonald indicated the injuries are not season-ending and Bradford will carry a designation to return. The coach also suggested the recovery timeline should lean toward the shorter end rather than an extended absence.
With Bradford sidelined, Christian Haynes and rookie fifth-round pick Beau Stephens shared the reps at the position against Arizona, playing 43 and 27 snaps respectively. It remains to be seen whether Seattle keeps the rotation going or hands Haynes a full-time starting role in Bradford's absence.
The roster move also opened a spot for safety Rodney Thomas II, who was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.
