Falcons 2027 Draft Board Takes Shape as Rebuild Continues

Atlanta fans tracking the rebuild have a deep 2027 class to watch, with Houston cornerback Jalen Mayo among the names drawing attention.

The Atlanta Falcons are rebuilding, which puts added weight on the 2027 NFL Draft as a chance to restock the roster. According to reporting cited by The Falcoholic, the upcoming class currently includes 72 prospects worth tracking, giving the front office a large pool to evaluate.

Cornerback is one position group to watch. Jalen Mayo of Houston is viewed as a stock-up prospect, and The Falcoholic suggested he could be a long-term replacement if Avieon Terrell or A.J. Terrell does not become the answer at the position. Notre Dame's Leonard Moore and Alabama's Zabien Brown are also rising names at corner.

At quarterback, USC's Jayden Maiava is trending up, and Darian Mensah of Miami is generating discussion. Mensah's average depth of target sits at 8.1 yards, ahead of Trinidad Chambliss at 7.8 and Drew Mestemaker at 7.7, and The Falcoholic points to NFL-caliber throws on his tape.

Offensive line prospects on the rise include USC's Elijah Paige, Kentucky's Lance Heard and Ohio State's Carson Hinzman. Running backs LJ Martin (BYU), DeSean Bishop (Tennessee) and Nate Frazier (Georgia) are also considered stock-up prospects.
