It will be the second ONE Championship appearance for the 22-year-old from Manaus, Brazil. He won his promotional debut against Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang in July, improving to 14-2 overall and extending his winning streak to nine fights.
Cesar's path to the sport began at age 10, when a neighborhood social project offered free taekwondo lessons in exchange for a small monthly food donation. He went on to earn a black belt before turning to mixed martial arts, turning professional at 17 and becoming a three-time Mr. Cage Flyweight Champion before joining ONE.
His upbringing was marked by sacrifice. His mother raised eight children alone in Manaus, and Cesar has said her example shaped him. In interviews with onefc.com, he also described losing a sister to illness in 2020 and a brother a little over two years later, setbacks he said he met by continuing to train.
Cesar has said his motivation now includes honoring his late siblings and supporting his family through his fighting career.
