Raphinha's 8.95 mark leads Europe's top five leagues and Lamine Yamal sits second at 8.86 as Barcelona open 2026-27 with eight straight wins.
Two FC Barcelona players hold the top two spots in WhoScored's ratings across Europe's top five leagues through the opening weeks of the 2026-27 season. Raphinha leads all qualifying players at 8.95, with teammate Lamine Yamal second at 8.86. Both have driven Barcelona to seven wins from seven LaLiga matches.
Raphinha, 29, has scored 12 goals and added three assists in roughly 550 league minutes, an average of about one goal every 46 minutes. The Brazilian has taken 3.6 shots per match, completed 84.2% of his passes and earned two Player of the Match awards across his first seven league fixtures. His score also ranks first among all players in Spanish football.
Yamal, 19, has seven goals and four assists in 581 league minutes. The winger struck twice in a 5-2 win over Rayo Vallecano on August 31, scored two more in a 5-0 victory at Valencia and added a goal against Racing Santander. He then set up two strikes in a 3-1 win over Sevilla.
In Barcelona's only Champions League fixture so far, Yamal recorded a perfect 10.00 rating in a 5-1 defeat of Feyenoord. He played all 90 minutes, finishing with a goal, two assists, four shots and 39 of 42 passes completed. Yamal had become the youngest player to reach 30 Champions League appearances in March 2026, at 18 years and 240 days.
The team numbers match the individual ones. Hansi Flick has favored an aggressive, possession-based attacking style since taking over in 2024, and Barcelona have opened the season with eight straight competitive victories and 36 goals, 31 of them in league play and five against Feyenoord. In LaLiga the side has averaged about 21.4 shots per match, 68.7% possession and 90.4% passing accuracy, heading into the international break with 21 points.
Fermín López, 23, has contributed four goals and two assists in 447 league minutes, making him the club's third-highest league scorer, while completing about 83.2% of his passes. Pedri, also 23, has completed roughly 92.4% of his passes in 496 minutes and added a goal and an assist from central midfield.
New arrivals and a promoted teenager have deepened the group. Anthony Gordon, 25, who joined from Newcastle United in May 2026, has four assists in about 393 minutes across his first six league appearances. Xavi Espart, a 19-year-old defender promoted to the first-team squad, has started five league matches at full-back, producing one goal and two assists in 440 minutes.
Eric García and Pau Cubarsí have remained key defensive options during the unbeaten start, with Cubarsí's passing accuracy above 94% in available league data. Barcelona have conceded seven goals across their first seven league matches while winning every one of them.
Barcelona's next match brings an immediate test of that record: Real Madrid visit Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday, October 4, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 PM EDT.
