Body camera recordings released by Miami police show an officer raising a Taser in the direction of Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers, according to a California Post report citing the footage.
The encounter occurred in the early hours of March 5 outside the Miami nightclub E11EVEN, shortly after Ogunbowale and Mist BC had won the 2026 Unrivaled championship. In the video, Bueckers is seen embracing Ogunbowale and saying, "We got her," at which point the officer tells her to let go and lifts the Taser.
Ogunbowale was handcuffed and booked around 4:20 a.m., per Miami-Dade County records cited by ESPN. She faced a misdemeanor battery charge that prosecutors dropped in May before trial. Authorities had alleged she struck a security guard at the club.
Ogunbowale, a four-time WNBA All-Star drafted fifth overall by Dallas in 2019 out of Notre Dame, and Bueckers, the No. 1 pick in 2025, have teamed with Azzi Fudd to anchor one of the WNBA's top backcourts.
