Washington College Teams Set for Busy Week of Fall Competition
The short version
- Washington football is 3-0 and hosts Minnesota Sept. 26 at 8 p.m.; its volleyball team is 9-0.

College programs across Washington, from Moses Lake-area community colleges to Pac-12 and Big Sky schools, have full schedules from Sept. 25 through Oct. 2, 2026.
Fall sports programs at Washington colleges head into a packed stretch of competition from September 25 through October 2, 2026. The slate covers football, volleyball, soccer, cross country, golf, tennis and swimming across schools ranging from community colleges to the University of Washington.
At the community college level, Big Bend's volleyball team, currently 3-5, hosts Walla Walla on September 25 at 6 p.m., travels to Treasure Valley on September 30 for a 5 p.m. match, and returns home to face Columbia Basin on October 2 at 6 p.m. Wenatchee Valley's volleyball squad, at 2-12 on the year, plays three matches in the window: home dates with Columbia Basin on September 25 and Blue Mountain on September 30, both at 6 p.m., followed by a road trip to Yakima Valley CC on October 2 at 6 p.m.
Wenatchee Valley's soccer teams also have road outings at Blue Mountain on September 30, with the women, standing 1-7, kicking off at 2 p.m. and the men, at 3-5-2, following at 4:15 p.m.
Central Washington's football team brings a 1-2 record into a September 26 home game against Sul Ross State at 6 p.m. The volleyball team, 6-4, plays at Saint Martin's on September 27 at 4 p.m. before hosting Montana State Billings on October 1 at 7 p.m. The women's soccer side, still winless at 0-4-3, welcomes Saint Martin's on September 26 at 11 a.m. and visits Montana State Billings on October 1 at 6 p.m. The cross country squad runs at the Bill Roe Classic on September 26 at 10 a.m.
Eastern Washington's football team, 1-3 after four games, hosts Cal Poly on September 26 at 4 p.m. The volleyball program, even at 6-6, faces Idaho State at home on September 26 at noon and plays at Montana on October 1 at 6 p.m. The women's soccer team, off to a 5-2-1 start, meets Oregon State on September 25 at 3:30 p.m. and Idaho State on October 1, also at 3:30 p.m.
Eastern Washington's other fall teams are on the road. Women's golf plays the Sun Mountain Intercollegiate in Missoula, Montana, on September 28-29. Women's tennis hosts Seattle U as part of the EWU Showcase Tournament on September 26-27 before heading to the Weber State Invitational on October 2.
Gonzaga's volleyball team, 5-7, travels to Utah State for a September 26 match at 11 a.m., then returns home to play Colorado State on October 1 at 6 p.m. Men's soccer, 3-3-2, hosts California Baptist on September 30 at 7 p.m., while the women's team, 5-4-1, plays at Idaho on September 25 at 7 p.m. In tennis, the men are at the Western Michigan Invite in Kalamazoo, Michigan, from September 25-27, and the women compete at the Cal Poly Hidden Dual in San Luis Obispo, California, on the same dates.
The University of Washington enters the week with strong records. Football is 3-0 and hosts Minnesota on September 26 at 8 p.m. Volleyball is unbeaten at 9-0, with matches at Michigan State on September 25 at 3 p.m., at Michigan on September 27 at 9 a.m., and home against Illinois on October 2 at 7 p.m. Men's soccer, 5-3-1, plays Rutgers on September 25 at 7:30 p.m. and Wisconsin on October 2 at 7 p.m. Women's soccer, unbeaten at 7-0-2, plays at Michigan State on September 27 at 10 a.m.
Washington's remaining fall teams are all on the road: men's golf at the Winton Memorial Classic in Lake Forest, Illinois, September 28-29; men's tennis at the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic on October 2; women's tennis at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina, September 25-27; and cross country at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago on September 25. Washington State's football team, 1-2, hosts Arizona on September 26 at 4:30 p.m., volleyball, 5-5, plays at Oregon State on September 26 at 1 p.m., women's soccer, 3-3-3, hosts Oregon State on October 1 at 6 p.m., women's tennis visits the Duck Invitational in Eugene on October 2, and swimming holds a Crimson and Gray intrasquad on September 25 at 3 p.m.
