The Chicago Bears play their third consecutive home game on Sunday, Oct. 4, when the New York Jets visit Soldier Field for a Week 4 matchup in the 2026 NFL season. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. CT, or 1 p.m. ET. FOX will carry the broadcast, with streaming available on NFL+ and Fubo, and Fubo offers a free trial.
Sunday's game also marks a first for two head coaches. Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn will stand on opposite sidelines as head coaches for the first time, a matchup between longtime friends who now lead their own teams.
Chicago comes in off a 27-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, Sept. 28. Case Keenum, the third-string quarterback, ran the offense in that game, and the defense held Philadelphia to seven points.
A starting quarterback for the Bears will not be known until game time. The choice is between Tyson Bagent and Keenum, while Caleb Williams remains out.
The Jets have already made things difficult for a pair of NFC North teams this season. New York pushed both Green Bay and Detroit in earlier games, though each of those opponents ended up winning.
Chicago is 2-1 through three weeks. The season opened with a 59-37 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 13, continued with a 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 20 and then produced the win over Philadelphia on Sept. 28.
The schedule after Sunday brings two road games first. Chicago plays at Green Bay on Oct. 11 (4:25 p.m. ET, FOX) and at Atlanta on Oct. 18 (1 p.m. ET, FOX). A Thursday night home game against New England follows on Oct. 22 (8:15 p.m. ET, Prime). The Bears then visit Seattle on Monday night, Nov. 1 (8:15 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN), host Tampa Bay on Sunday night, Nov. 8 (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC) and take their Week 10 bye.
Out of the bye, Chicago hosts New Orleans on Nov. 22 (1 p.m. ET, FOX) and plays at Detroit on Thursday, Nov. 26 (12:30 p.m. ET, CBS). December opens with a home game against Jacksonville on Dec. 6 (1 p.m. ET, FOX) and a visit to Miami on Dec. 13 (1 p.m. ET, CBS). The Bills host the Bears on Saturday, Dec. 19 (8:20 p.m. ET, CBS), and Green Bay comes to Soldier Field on Christmas Day, Dec. 25 (1 p.m. ET, Netflix). Detroit visits on Jan. 3 (4:25 p.m. ET, FOX) in Week 17, and the season closes at Minnesota on Jan. 10 (1 p.m. ET) with the network still to be determined.
The next game on the Global Sportscast schedule is the New York Jets at the Chicago Bears. Kickoff is Sunday, October 4 at 1:00 PM EDT at Soldier Field, with the game televised on FOX.
