Minor League Baseball has named Pensacola Blue Wahoos manager Nelson Prada the 2026 Southern League Manager of the Year, the club announced. Right-handed pitcher Eliazar Dishmey joined him among the honorees, earning Southern League Pitcher of the Year and a spot on the league's All-Star team.
Prada completed his second season at the helm and became the second person in franchise history to receive the league's manager of the year award. Pensacola went 79-58 overall, the top record in the Southern League.
Dishmey did not join the roster until May 26, nearly two months into the 2026 minor league season. Across 16 regular-season starts, he posted a 3.30 ERA, struck out 92 batters in 71 innings, and limited opponents to a .183 batting average.
The right-hander was named Southern League Pitcher of the Week twice during the season. He is the second Blue Wahoos player to win the league's pitcher of the year award.
