Seton Stays Unbeaten at No. 1 in Greater Cincinnati Volleyball Rankings

Seton holds the top spot at 14-0, while McNicholas climbs to No. 2 and the Girls Greater Catholic League race tightens in the latest weekly poll.
Seton kept the No. 1 position in the weekly Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky girls volleyball power rankings, improving to 14-0 after handing Harrison its first defeat of the season and winning at Roger Bacon on Sept. 21. Charley Moeddel sits among the league's top five in kills, blocks and aces, a feat last achieved by St. Ursula's Mary Shaffer in 2018. The Saints visit St. Ursula on Sept. 24 before hosting Beechwood on Sept. 26.
McNicholas moved up one spot to No. 2 at 13-1 after wins over Fenwick, CHCA and St. Ursula, dropping just one set in each of the first two matches. Annabel Comer, Cara Radtke and Lilly Tierney formed a blocking wall against Fenwick, while Tierney, Savanna Stacey — who recently passed 1,000 career kills — and Kennedy Haucke all hit .310 or better against CHCA. Fenwick slipped to No. 3 and Beechwood held at No. 4 after winning back-to-back All "A" state titles.
Notre Dame rose to No. 9 behind wins in eight of its last 10, with Kaia Tilden leading the team in digs. St. Henry climbed to No. 10 after four consecutive wins over in-state opponents and a sixth straight top seed in the 34th District tournament. The rest of the top 10: Ursuline at No. 7, CHCA at No. 6, St. Ursula at No. 5 and Kings at No. 8, with Mount Notre Dame, Mason, Ross, Springboro, Harrison, Ryle, Goshen, Taylor, Bishop Brossart and Wyoming listed next in line.
