The 2026 high school football campaign around Lubbock reaches Week 5, and the district tables show a number of programs still carrying perfect overall records. Estacado and Lubbock-Cooper Liberty sit at 4-0 in District 3-4A Division II, while Shallowater (District 1-3A Division I), Clyde (District 2-3A Division I) and Idalou and Littlefield (District 2-3A Division II) are also 4-0.
In the larger classifications, Amarillo High holds the early lead in District 2-5A Division I at 2-1, one game clear of a seven-team pack at 1-2 that includes Frenship, Monterey, Lubbock High, Frenship Memorial, Abilene High, Amarillo Caprock and Amarillo Tascosa. District 2-5A Division II is topped by Amarillo Palo Duro and Wichita Falls Legacy, each 3-1, with Coronado at 1-3 and Lubbock-Cooper still winless at 0-4.
Two-win teams clustered at 2-2 include Abilene Cooper, Abilene Wylie and Wichita Falls Memorial in 2-5A Division II.
