Mountain Ridge stayed perfect, Weber won in the final seconds, and Roy needed overtime to beat Clearfield in Friday's Week 7 high school football slate.

High school football teams across Utah's regions played their Week 7 slate on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, and the results ranged from lopsided routs to a game decided in overtime. Highland hosted Murray at Highland High School in Salt Lake City, where Highland's Zamari Vaughn was pictured reaching for a pass in coverage by photographer Lukas Katilius of the Deseret News.

In Region 1, Davis improved to 4-3 by beating Syracuse 49-35, handing the Titans a 3-4 record. Bode Sparrow hauled in a 25-yard touchdown pass from Paden Toula with 5:12 remaining in the fourth quarter to put the Darts ahead for good after several ties earlier in the contest. Toula finished with four touchdown throws, while Syracuse got scores from Kao Prom and Ledger Wight. Davis limited the Titans to one field goal in the final period.

Weber also came away a winner in Region 1, rallying past Layton 30-23 to move to 4-3 while the Lancers fell to 2-5. Carter Payne threw two late touchdown passes: an 18-yarder to Reese Cantwell that tied the game with 3:37 left, then a 38-yard strike to Connor Cantanzaro with only 19 seconds on the clock. Layton had gone in front on Luke Byers' 1-yard touchdown run at the 5:50 mark of the fourth.

Mountain Ridge remained undefeated at 7-0 with a 56-7 Region 2 rout of Riverton (2-5). Jaxon Hunt threw seven touchdown passes — three in the opening quarter, among them an 85-yarder to Marshall West — and added four more in the second, including a 56-yard completion to Jordan Classenn. Tyson Dunn broke a 77-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. Riverton's only points came on Tavin Hill's 95-yard kickoff return with 52 seconds left in the third.

Also in Region 2, Bingham (3-4) ran past Cedar Valley (1-6) 49-7 behind a ground attack that produced scoring runs from Tusi Tuikolovatu in the first quarter and, before halftime, Jaylee Thompson, Le'o Tafuna, Paea Tovo and Knox Dawson. The Aviators scored once in the second quarter and were shut out after the break. Westlake (4-3) handed Copper Hills (6-1) its first loss of the season, 15-9, with Logan Sorensen kicking the go-ahead 27-yard field goal at the 8:34 mark of the fourth quarter. Copper Hills led early on Parker Beck's 30-yard touchdown catch from Ethan Hill, but Westlake answered with a Silas Taumoepeau touchdown pass to Slone Sua in the first quarter and Ashton Taylor's 5-yard run in the second. Lincoln Anderson's 21-yard fourth-quarter field goal could not save the Grizzlies.

Skyridge (6-1) built an early cushion in Region 3 and held off Corner Canyon (5-2), 37-27, thanks to a pair of first-quarter interceptions returned for touchdowns — Jackson Horsley from 31 yards and Ethan Schriever from 83 yards. Beckham Bennett's 48-yard touchdown run with 1:49 to play sealed it. Corner Canyon's Diesel Dart caught two touchdown passes in the losing effort.

Region 4 produced three decisive results. K'Von Houston threw five touchdown passes as Hillcrest crushed West Jordan 48-8, connecting three times in the first quarter — including a 31-yarder to Keli'i Batimana, two to Alani Latu — and adding second-quarter scores to Levi Lavaka and Collin Ence to build a 41-8 halftime lead; a fumble recovery and a third-quarter touchdown pass to Ence closed it out. Hunter shut out Kearns 45-0 behind Sione "Isi" Moungaafi, who ran for a 2-yard score and threw three touchdown passes, one a 15-yarder to Abbas Aweis in the fourth, with Ryder Paea adding two rushing touchdowns before halftime made it 33-0. Granger beat Cyprus 36-17 as Ethan Sam ran for three touchdowns and Frank Samoa Zinck returned an interception 42 yards; Gafa Fanene's 14-yard touchdown pass to Jabril Mberwa with 11:55 left came too late for Cyprus.

In Region 5, Roy evened its record at 2-4 by outlasting Clearfield (2-4) 27-20 in overtime. The Royals trailed early after Clearfield's Dylan Seaich returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown, but Gunner Pearson's 6-yard touchdown run in the extra period delivered the win.
